This is how sedum roofs are installed using long rolls of pre-cultivated sedum plants grown like 'turf'. This building is down at the Eden Project which is open to the public.
The hardy sedum plants are virtually drought and wind resistant and require very little maintenance. The roof doesn't need mowing as the sedums are very low growing and only the seed heads grow to about 10-15cm.
Its cool to see this, im on the other end of this job. Out in the field doing the planting, growing, maintenance and harvesting. Very cool looks good, great job.
