why bail them out.....now GM is reporting the only way they can remain in business is to produce more cars overseas. So over the next three years they are raising the %prooduced overseas to 24%. In other words, the taxpayers are bailing out GM and GM is takling the money and jobs overseas. Who the fuck would buy a car from GM?

the cost of unemployment insurance is to be weighed against the cost of the bailout.
The governments going to eat cost either way.

GM should get their bail and must survive, because GM are the best car maker in the U.S. GM cars are the best american make. Ford should not get their bail because they are dishonest and they are clumsey with their make. My Ex girlfriend in California used to own a Explorer and a Mustange and she had bad problem with it. one of my friend owned a Taurus since it was new, and the taurus blew up at 75,000 miles so ford are Pice of shit over GM.

your comments are based on sentiment and not business...
General Motors can't pay their bills.. They're not a going concern... conversely.. Ford hasn't asked for money from the federal government. That means that they are a going concern and can sustain themselves in the natural course of business.

I'm sure there are millions of stories of bad service from both sides.

It's ridiciulous but it's politics.

They don't have the guts to say that they already throw out bad money. They must nationalize GM install a total new management team and make a plan.

Listening to Tricky Ricky will not help

No.. GM was not dishonest at all.
They're playing the game. Why wouldn't they take the money"?

Which company in their right mind wouldn't take federal money?

The point is: they don't have a viable plan.. They're not going to immediately go to profitability by cutting necessary costs.

They'll continue to play the game for years if they're allowed.

Was GM dishonest when accepting the first bailout, or did they not understand what they needed?
Or have they lied all along? Or all three? The only solution 1. don't give them this extra money 2. force them into bankruptcy 3. take the original bailout away 4. fire the management 5. take over the company 6. fix the mess.

GM gotten better than before, our guy at work has a chevy cobalt and a silverado pickup and his colbalt get better gas mileage than my Toyota. chevy cars are the best American make in the U.S.

There are arguments for each car company having better mileage than another.
Is the Cobalt too little too late?

Does the consumer understand that they all need to purchase cars like the Cobalt...

Many consumers still think that they're entitled to the luxury vehicles, which are not gas conscious
