Ocala Gran Prix Helmet Cam Box Stock

This Video is from August 15th 2009 Box Stock Senior feature Race. Riding kart #18 starting outside pole. I am using a go-pro wide helmet cam mounted to the top of my helmet.

@mxkx48 I just got a clone engine. I removed the governor etc. I am putting it into an old motorcycle. How reliable are these engines when they have the governor removed?

They are very reliable. We turn 6000 rpm's on ours and have run the one on this kart for 2 1/2 years with no problems. Justuse good oil preferrably cool power or thor oil and run 14 ounces of oil, use a measuring cup to measure it, and change it about every 5 hours of riding, or add a little extra oil just to be on the safe side. These motors are bulletproof as long as you change the oil. Remember...CHANGE THE OIL!

@mxkx48 hey i got a power fist 6.5....you guys seem to be going pretty fast...i was wondering what you did to the motor, like youre title says box stock so i imagine that its straight from the box but you guys are driving pretty freaking fast for straight out the box....so what did you do to it and what is the cost aproximatly

@jerythefatkid Header pipe, governor removed, and remove the air box cover. thats it. These engines are very easy and cheap to make fast. Less than $200 in this motor.

@Hogasofa I trash picked a race kart that was setup for a yamaha 100? it was complete except for the engine........cant beat that! talk about happy.
