Chandra Almony served in the Peace Corps in a tiny village in Namibia, Africa from 1998-2002. Chandra is a
graduate student enrolled in the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. She served as a primary school English teacher for grades 5, 6, and 7. After school and on weekends she participated with an environmental
education club, sport development, and girl & women empowerment. She says that the Peace Corps is a live-changing
experience and would like to return to Africa and work for a public health agency or non-governmental agency.
