Art of Belly Dance - Beledi Dance Demonstration

Karen Barbee Adkisson of Karavan Middle Eastern Dance speaks at Lady Fest in San Antonio Texas on the history/art of Belly Dance. Karen is a master instructor of Middle Eastern Dance. She gives a dance demonstration of Beledi music, which is an improvisational style of music played within a traditional full dance routine. The movements in this piece are primarily slow torso articulations with accents and shimmies. Music by Ali Kurdi and the Ghafour brothers. This clip was for San Antonio Public Access TV. Middle Eastern Dance show airs on Saturdays, 8:30am.
