@Airbornerock And just to clarify, you seem to think that because it CAN create a "micro black hole" (remember, not a normal black hole like in space) that you are proving me to be wrong, but you have failed to do so. To call it a black hole generator implies that the intention for the machine is to generate black holes, which it isn't. The intention for the LHC is exactly as I stated in my original post. For example: Just because someone is capable of murder, that does not make them a murderer.

It has the possibility of creating a "micro black hole," which is an entirely different scenario; rather than the doomsday event everyone thinks will occur, a "micro black hole" will evaporate instantly, most likely leaving nothing behind. There, you have been corrected. Now, to address your "noob" insult; The fact that you are calling me "noob" implies that I am uninformed/wrong upon this topic, which I am not, as you can see.
