@DeeLee1950 - sorry, but I got that information from another site called Songfacts. When I put in Starbuck and the song title it came up from a poster called Simon from Atlanta GA.
Sounds convincing when you listen to the lyrics - especially the drugs references and it was the 1970s . . .

I was 8 when this came out & always thought this song was just so great. My dad was of the Swing gen., but always preferred the newer music of the 60's & 70's & really liked it too. Great songs are like great memories,....they never leave ya. Thanks for posting this. :)

Summer 1976... on a thirty day leave from the Marines before starting a two year tour in Hawaii...spending time with my girlfriend, who has been my wife for thirty three years. Two wonderful grown kiddos, Lots of great memories. Life has been good to me...
