Great Memories here. I was on a couple of dates with these guys just when they were exploding on the scene.We played in Hingham ,and onr other show in boston as a double bill. They were very fresh and original. ..good stuff.

I was at Berklee at this time along with a bunch of future jazz and rock stars. I love jazz but was so into the Boston rock scene with bands like the Atlantics, Mission of Burma, The Dark, Young Snakes...we all knew who was in that group. WBCN was a great station that always played local music.

When I first them, I thought they were one of the best bands I had ever seen. After 30 years of watching bands, I haven't changed my opinion.

@wsr216 YESSS! The CD you have along with the "LIVE" CD and the "PowerPop" CD are available on cdbaby.com. If you look hard enough, "Big City Rock" is on CD out there too and possible more in the future.

Holy poop, i've been looking for a video by this band for years.. i put on the 1979 LP "Big City Rock" more than a few times a month, such a killer band...i want to see more.

My favorite Boston band! Great to see Big City Rockers at H.O.B. Used to see them on the booze cruises,J.Swifts, Jacks, the Channel. Got the album and 45,set lists. Love to see a video of a whole concert of them! Tom? Fred? I still play an Atlantics song at our house parties!

@localboston80s - I've been looking for more footage forever. Other than audio recordings from WCOZ and WBCN, nothing has surfaced. I am sure Jan Crocker might have some. We'll see. If you could scan some of those setlists, that would be awesome. I work with Rayboy Fernandes and he runs the MySpace and facebook pages...
