If you compare this to Light as a Feather Tony's drums overshadow Stanley's bass. More drums here. Airto plays with more room in the bass register (less toms) so it is lighter. Tony was certainly inside this music, but he didn't have the Brazilian thing that Airto had. I love both bands. Stanley's bass playing was ground breaking. Very long fingers, like Ron Carter. And it looks like he has a double jointed left thumb. He can reach damn near an octave with the left hand alone.
