i was just to the right of centre 4th row'ish' for the strokes
greatest performace of splendour, 27,000 people they recon
it was amazing, it was so intense that thr were people constantly being pulled out coz they couldnt breathe

Two reasons;
1. Open air auditorium so even though there are something like 30,000 people, there is nothing for the sound to echo off, and
2. It's a pretty crappy microphone as I used the vid function on a Canon Ixus so the main speakers up front drown out all but those in about a 5m radius.
