@exelentdude As for older animes i don't think it right to compare them animation and drawing wise to modern anime, because of course they rant going to be as high quality. BUt i understand what that guys was saying a lot of modern anime has a lot bullshit, generic and cliche story lines that have been done over and over again. Where as older anime was much more free about what they wrote about. But there are many reason's to y things are the way they are now. Id be happy to discuss it though.

@exelentdude Wait, are u comparing animation, or art? Because those r two separate things. In terms of art thats more opinionated, as animation isn't. Cuz u cannot tell me that naruto is better animated or even drawn better than a good amount of the ones i named. Such as I can let it slide for a good amount of them, But u cannot tell me naruto is better animated and than Redline, Ghost in the shell 2 , and kara no kyoukai.

Theres no way u can tell me that todays capabilities in animation are worse today then yesterdays. Just the technology in itself is that much better. Now there are a lot of anime out there today that are just crap and very badly written and also very cliche, but that doesn't mean good anime isn't still being made. BUt i'll say this, a lot of anime from the 90's and 80's were drawn with more detail as today's anime tend to have less detail in the drawing, much more simplified.
