I work for Harley and have ridden this bike a few times. It is a very easy bike to handle. The weight and control are good for new riders. Having said that, it is very, very powerful. I thought the clutch was slipping in second but it was the rear wheel painting the pavement... very controlled though. I think beginning riders ought to start smaller but if you have the cash. Go for it. The safest bike is the bike you are confident on.
