Not great. he sings - and plays - it too harshly. It's a ballad, not a rock song and shouldnt be treated as such. His voice is ok but suited to other songs, not this one.

Who gave you the authority to say what someone else's music should or should not be treated like?

I'll take your criticism of my voice and guitar, but style is subjective and no one person can make a statement like "this song is X and you can only treat it like Y"

i like your cover, it´s sort of different :D ( in a good way )

but sometimies your voice sounds like you are trying to push it too hard in the height. it doesn´t sound bad because it fits to the attitude of your cover, but maybe you could try to hit the higher notes in a softer way.. i think that it´ll sound cool, too :D
