Chrome Web Store First Look

In this video I go over the Chrome Web Store, an app store for both the Chrome browser as well as for Chrome OS. The Web Store focuses on web apps such as Sports Illustrated that are free, in addition to paid apps such as full 3D games like Lego Star Wars that run right inside the browser.

Chrome web apps are very similar to regular web pages, there will only be a few differences, like advanced HTML5 privilege's and bigger icons, the web stores main attraction is the ability to compare and see reviews of websites/web apps, these so called "web apps" are nothing like android apps, they are built in HTML5 and other web standards (CSS and Javascript). I think that the Lego star-wars game that Google demoed was build only on open web standards, no plugin, perhaps it was WebGL....

The Apps are all going to be written in HTML5, including Youtube, Pandora, and Hulu.
