yea, but quad-SLI wouldn't really make a difference in this case. The limitation is the CPU trying to calculate all of the physics going on. When I do this stuff my cpu will be under heavy usage and my gpu 0-1%.

he used the recording method, look at his framerate in the top right hand corner it's really really low when stuff is happening.
