This guy was my hero growing up as a player, and I love what he says at the end about trying different styles and how it will help your playing. It's so true! I've studied whatever interested me-jazz, fingerstyle, country, fretless bass, mandolin......but I'm really a rock player at heart, and it all comes out in some way and gives you a broader spectrum of musical knowledge to pull from, even if you never master any of them.

love you Warren -- i doubt you remember me, but i met you back on the infamous Ratt/Poison tour back in the 80s, and you gave me some of your stainless steel picks - you impressed me greatly, while all the other guys in the band were partying and chasing tail, you always went back to your hotel room or the bus and PRACTICED. you're still one of my fave players, and i really wish you would do an instructional DVD, your style is one of the best from the era!
