I’m with u on that one. What we fail to realize is that Janet has paved the way for SO MANY artists of today’s generation. Just look at Aretha, Whitney, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, and Patti LaBelle. They paved the way for Mary, Jennifer, Alicia, and so on. We are so damn obsessed with “Beyonce’ is fake”, “Today’s music is garbage.” , All these “so called” artists are desperately trying to be like Janet!’.

Yes Janet will always be the queen. But she is not the only queen. Beyonce has gracefully reached "her success" To the older generation its all about Janet. To the new generation their queen is Beyonce. And the generation after this It will be someone else. Ppl can only pave the way for the next to go above and beyond of what they did before. And i think many have done so since Janet. She make her mark. Its somebody else turn to make their and keep the cycle going.

I think history is meant to repeat itself. Like she said "everyone gets their inspiration from somewhere" . People see Janet and think she's done everything by herself in her career. Im sure she's had plenty of ppl surrounding her that were inspirational to her. Including her family. I bet there are alot of moves and poses or watever that she's gotten from somebody else an made them her own. As to all of the women like ciara and beyonce who's made their Janet inspiratons their own.
