  • What is that pin they're all wearing? It looks like an apple or tomato. I'm not familiar with it's cause (if it's for a cause that is.)

  • It's a Poppy which people in the UK buy and wear every November to raise money for the The Royal British Legion.

  • Sir Trevor Macdonald captured the moment best among all those comments. Maybe because he's black, but he seemed to combine the right measures of objectivity with the important magnitude of what had happened.

    GOBAMA/GOBIDEN '09!

  • I love the way the british cover news. So much more analysis and the feeling of neutrality.

  • I have always been wondering if the British understand American English.

  • This video just made this grown-up middle-class white boy cry tears of joy. Thank you!

  • Senator McCain hasn't done sh*t with President Obama....

  • i love this video

  • At 02:41 Harry Potter looks a bit concerned by Oprah's outburst.

  • Seeing this gives me goosebumps! An amazing memory

  • @hop208 Its a poppy for Rememberence Day. Worn in UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries

  • Giovanni Caboto was one of the first people to land in North America (Newfoundland to be exact) before Vespucci and after Columbus, Caboto was Italian, he named the land after Richard Amerike his financier. I didn't say the British were there first, just that it's highly possible that it is named after one. (It's also odd to name a place after anyone's first name unless they're royal which is why Vespucci is often doubted).

  • @Coolguyrob2006

I also typed that it was the Spanish and the French who settled America first, not the British. If the British discovered America, how did the Spanish and French beat you guys here? Just for a laugh:).......

My comment was the first of my comments on this video. I think you have me mistaken for someone else. Believe me, I'm no troll.
