@D26J68 You are right about manga...

@D26J68 I honestly believe that. Any Photoshop-monkey can ink digitally. There's little worry about slipping, line weight, etc unless you use an appropriate tablet. Heaven forbid computers ever fail and people have to take on something that takes considerable skill by hand. If that means I'll someday end up being like one of those guys that craft and sell medieval armor in renaissance fairs, in short barely keeping it alive, then so be it.

Inking is something that we simply must keep alive. I paint digitally but will always do my sketching and inking by hand... Now if only I wasn't still a newb lol!
Achievement Unlocked: Inker Lvl 2 ... >.<

You're right Fredrock, you've gotta stay hard core about it. I tend to think of digital inking as largely a Manga thing which isn't much about art anyway (IMO)... Keep on 'Rockin' in the Free World!

Thanks for your comment MarvelManias! Joe used my ink which is Sumi ink - normally used for Japanes ink wash painting. He is a master of interpreting other's people's pencils. Cheers - DJ
