@TLakeya As the song goes, only WE can change us, giving folks a sense of pride of the accomplishments of people of color, people that did in in the face of Jim Crow, lynchings, segregation, and yes, slavery. Where was "we all" when whites were telling Blacks to go to the back of the bus?

OMG!!! If you listen to the lyrics of this song it is quite positive..She is simply trying to tell african americans to keep their heads up regardless of any negativity you may or have encountered and she also gives due recognition to the many positive african american role models :)..This is a positive song everyone listen closely to the lyrics...Angie Stone is a great artist :)

angie stone needs to be a little bit more pen minded. It makes me so angry! We are all people. Diffrentiacting between eachother through race will NOT do us ANY good.
