Genuine dance music before it was exploited by the music industry, killing the soul, the funk, the heart of it. Instead produced the imitation & cheesy (Village People, ABBA, Bee Gees, Rod Stewart ('Do you Think I'm Sexy'), Cher ('Take Me Home', etc), Became nothing but a a fat cash cow whose estimated worth was around 4 billion dollars. More then, Hollywood, TV or professional sports at that time (Source: "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life; The History of the Disc Jockey by Brewster and Broughton.
