@Feisty1967, it's about a priest who feels he is a descended of Don Quixote. the books about his travels throughout the spain country side with his travelling companion sancho who is technically the ex mayor (and communist) of his home town el toboso. his "retirement" comes from the fact that he was given the status of monsignor from someone at the vatican. i am not a religious man by any mean but this book is fantastic, funny, witty, intellectual REALLY well written definitly recomended read

That Monsiginior Quixote, is that the same as Don Quixote? Excuse my ignorance.

Alastair Burnet looks like a dog! Did you know that David Bryan (Bon Jovi) is his son?

too funny! maybe it was the severe sounding tones or the way the word Thames would come out of the water. The news seemed very stark and serious back then... maybe I was just too young to understand it all.

You might say "bland" - I'd say reasonably straightforward and balanced journalism. News now is completely beyond parody - ITV News in particular is half Day Today, half Daily Mail. The Day Today actually seems to have been taken by subsequent news broadcasters as a model rather than as a warning of what not to become.
