This past weekend we had a two day event at Ridge Landing. Several members of IAC Chapter 23 had a practice weekend at Ridge Landing Airpark this past weekend. With a cookout each day and a fly-in breakfast at Avon Park on Sunday morning it just could not have been more enjoyable. Thanks to all who came to fly, cookout, or watch. The weather was perfect. A special thanks to Richard McKenzie and Kevin Kasley from Florida Aircraft Services at Avon Park Airport for bringing the fuel directly to Ridge Landing.
IAC Chapter 23 members in attendance: Steve Hill, Bob Stark, Bo Kagan, Jim Wells, Rick Caldwell, and Steve Ferguson.
Ridge Landing Airpark (FAA LID: 4FL5)is a private airport located 8 miles south of Lake Wales, in Polk County, Florida, United States. The airpark has a paved runway measuring 3,000 ft by 60 ft. Ridge Landing is a gated community with grass taxiways and all roadways separate. The runway has pilot controlled lighting and is controlled by the Ridge Landing Home Owner's Association.
