Just normal acceleration from a traffic light. Regular clutch takeup - no extra revs at launch. No speedshifting either. Leave the clutch and synchro abuse to the street racers!

The car:
1991 BMW 318i 4-door with 1999 M52B28 and 2006 E46 M3 6-speed (Getrag S6S 420G), 3.25LSD. S52 cams, Conforti intake with 3.5 MAF, custom tune from Chuck Stickley.

  • Tastefully done all around. Very nice.

  • @StrictNine87 it looks a lot nicer than my fat e36 standard wheel. your wheel looks a little different than my brothers e30 325is. his have slightly sharper edge and no rounded lump above where your thumb would go lol

  • @StrictNine87 Nope. It's an M-Tech II. It was never offered on any E30 in any factory trim. Here's a guide to common E30 wheels: rtsauto DOT com/e30-steering-wheel-options/

  • @soccerisdabomb18 It's the standard steering wheel in an e30 is.

  • @jordub It's the engine in a e36 328i, bmw only claims it has 1 more hp, but it has way more torque. It's basically in between a 325i and an m3, it gets the m3 short shift and clutch.

  • i want your steering wheel!

  • I just bought my first BMW. (E30 M42) Which engine is the M52B28? I'm still learning the BMW jargon. That acceleration is amazing BTW.

  • About how much are you putting to the ground? I am looking to do the M52 swap. How much did that six speed cost you?

  • This is the exact setup I want! How much did it run you?

  • 5ish seconds to 60 without an abusive launch. Nice.
