Hi! I have read up on the Disney auditions online. I'm going to be turning 16 years old very soon and I am really interested in auditioning. I saw that you only have to be 16 to audition. I have been training in all types of dance for 13 years and have gotten the leads in all of the plays I have participated in. I'm 5'5" and I'm have my heart set on being a Disney Princess or face-character. Would you recommend auditioning this young? Or do you think I should wait? Thanks! :)

@iTangled hello there. Usually I respond to these kinds of questions via messages, But for some reason, it won't let me message you. Congrats on turning 16! I'm 18 so I know how it feels. YES audition! Audition as many times and as often as you can! Auditioning is the best kind of practice , better than any dance class. Honestly, Disney doesn't care about how much training you have in dance or how great of an actress you are. They are looking for charisma and of course a certain look.

@hiphoperina the rest disney doesn't care about. Being a face character is very hard. very difficult to fit into the disney mold. You are the right height so that works in your favor. But its all about looks, accents, smiles, eye shape. When they take your picture at the audition, make SURE to widen your eyes. They especially look for that! do you know if the characters in the shows like fantasmic misc. also have to be walk around characters? I would love to be a character in one of the shows, but I have a bit of trouble with improv. i'm not terrible at it, just not great. how do you audition for characters strictly for the shows, if that's even possible? I have lots of dance and singing experience
