Here's an ad for the legit NES version of tetris. as for why the nintendo version is considered "legit"? well, it all started with the trial regarding the ownership of the rights for Tetris between Nintendo and Atari (which owned Tengen). long story short, the court ruled in favor of Nintendo and it led to 2 things: the first and most well known effect was that Tengen was asked to recall any unsold copies of their version of Tetris and have them destroyed. the second effect was that Sega (who made their version of Tetris) lost the rights as well, but in the process it led for them to create Columns.

P.S. i am fully aware that there is a small bit featuring the former World Trade Center. and as a result, i won't tolerate any "9/11 is a conspiracy" type of comments. any comments which reflect such opinion will be deleted.

  • I cant stop solving tetris problems in my head >.<

  • @sfakasswannabe It's funny. regardless of which tetris one plays, it becomes a mindset which in turn leads to thinking about the game. for example if you go to a bathroom with small floor tiles, it immediately could lead in to thinking about tetris.

  • lol when you play Tetris for hours on end, you really do start seeing tetris pieces IRL, or maybe I'm just going insane.

  • @wilkes85 i agree with you. especially if you look at bathroom tiles (especially any bathroom which uses tiles of many colors)
