I first wanted to make a video, but my music maker made some problems, so that I couldn't make it easy. But because so many people are asking me, how I am able to use my Axiom 61 with reason I made this video. It should help those, who have problems with the knobs/sliders in Reason.

  • What a great video! Been racking my brains for no reason. You made it so easy to map! Thank you! Great Upload!

  • @bprince9 You're welcome ;) ... in the beginning I didn't think that it would be so helpful. But it seems like many people have got those problems ^^ ... glad I was able to help you.

  • I love you.

  • @maparr07 Oh, too bad, I already have a girlfriend! ;) ... did the video help you or what do you mean?

  • @Starfool06 yeah I guess I should have been more specific. I've been looking to get my knobs on my axiom to work in override mode in reason for a long long time. This did the trick, I'm so happy. now if only my 64 bit machine could recognize my trigger finger.

  • @maparr07 Just kidding ;) ... was already sure that you didn't mean it like you wrote it :P Well in view of the trigger finger I'm sorry, I can't help you with that. I just own the axiom and even that one I can't really use at the moment... time is so rare since I decided to go to school again :( ... Maybe you should contact m-audio and ask for help, if you didn't already do that ;)

  • @Supersteps Sorry for the late answer... had a lot to do. Well yes, it's the same thing. You can use the small play-buttons on top of each drum (Mute/Solo/Play) in Redrum and assign them with the remote override to your pads. There surely already is a preset saved on the axiom that allows you to control redrum with your pads. But I don't know which number it has and how the assignment would be.

  • thanks for the video , But how do you assign the drum pads or is it the same methodusing reddrum ?

  • @analduct Sorry I didn't answer you. Seems like the notification got lost o_O

Did you try it like told in my video? When you use WinXP it is really important to use the "Reason Remote"-driver by M-Audio and to install it in the given order. The driver also works on Vista afaik. Only on Windows 7 it seems not to be necessary to use it.

    Which Reason-Version do you use?

  • @deimosmusicprod Yeah just plug in the usb and hit "other keyboard". Don't chose any specific models from the list.
