Absolutely amazing tune performance

Did you know that Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs ever has no Lyle Lovett on it? But Nirvana made the top 10. Doesn't say much for that list.

my favorite by Mr. Lovett... So delicate... The piano is incredible...

Just got turned on to this song by a dear friend very somber.

I think I'm right about this ... Lyle wrote this one with Willis Alan Ramsey. Ramsey's been doing it in shows lately ... I love it.

Several years ago Lyle Lovett and I ended up in one of those tedious lines at the Houston airport. I took a chance and imposed on he and his girlfriend telling him how much I enjoyed a Crossroads show he did with Bonnie Raitt among other favorites he has done. I went on & on about "North Dakota" and how much my wife and I loved it and kept it on the DVR recorder. He could not have been more accommodating, and his girlfriend was a stunner.

I love this song. I dedicate this one to my awesome comrade!

Joshua Judges Ruth album. This tune was playing when my alcoholic fiance, found curled up on an old Porlland Oregon Victorian kitchen floor I had just remodeled, finally convinced me that I couldn't save her. No matter how much I loved her. I drank myself some whiskey and next day I packed up the Mustang and headed out days later to a new life in a far away place. I didn't know it then and it took a long time to come to the realization, but moving on saved me from a life of unhappiness.

This is a great song. Just awesome. The Dakotas seem like such a dream to me now and I miss them so much. Been to California, New York, Florida, Texas, Georgia and just about everywhere in the lower 48 and they all have great things but I do miss the Dakotas. Beautiful, awe-inspiring massive land with the greatest people in the world! Skoal! Thanks for everything.
I love all the quieter songs from Lyle's albums. There's about three on each one, they make the greatest compilations. Whatever happens to the music industry, I hope Lyle keeps making records.
