Tony Dungy has achieved the ultimate as a pro-football coach, but he knows that even if he reaches the top, there's something beyond.

  • dungy=best coach in the nfl. Period.

  • I think it's great that God uses people in so many different ways.

I think Tony does a great job here. I just got done reading his book, and out of all the sports type role models out there, he is the one that kids SHOULD look up to.

  • All i have to say to everyone on this topic is give God a chance to come into your life. Be patient and pray. God has a plan for you in good and bad times. I promise everyone who reads this it will happen.

  • wow.. i'm in awe.

    what a great role model.

i mean, it's hard enough as christians to live in this world.

but to also be one in the NFL is something phenomenal.

i know there are so many pessimistic people out there when it comes to God.

but i hope, as Christians, we don't encourage their pessimistic attitudes.

nor view them as "less" than us.

that we would invest time into people.

so we can learn to love all unconditionally

&& also to encourage them :]

  • BTW, I do respect followers of Christ and his "philosophy on life(as I said I believe it is.)" But whether you believe it "literally" or not, you still get the same results.

  • I(personally) look at the bible as a book of philosophy. I am open to the "man in the sky" thing, but I dont "believe" it. Saying I believe it would be a huge stretch. Not to mention, it isn't something you can choose, you either "believe it" or you don't. I am sure alot of people who say "I believe Jesus is the lord" dont truly believe it they just "think it." I think you have to "feel it" strongly to believe it. Would you "die for it?" That is belief. I have a lot of respect for Dungy.

  • No matter what your views on Christ or your religious beliefs you have to give Tony Dungy credit for having the backbone to stand up there in front of all those people and say what he believed in. And to Lumpagogo--How can you tell this man to stand up on his own and put away his "crutch?" The man is brilliant - one of the greatest coaches of all time - I seriously doubt he was using any "crutch" unless you're referring to power of Christ, which, must have worked. The man won the Superbowl.

  • What a great message: Even you can make your son a scapegoat for your problems.

  • not so good at coaching your son, eh?

  • @jfice76 there is no evidence to support that he is the best coach in history.

  • Dungy has a big mouth

  • per Jinx:

Yup, all you gotta do is talk JC-nonsense and you're in. You have to be a phony-baloney believer in the infantile. The Moslems have their own god and they hate the bible. Guess what-- they are all "psychotic reaction"-guys. Tony Dungy--stand up on your own, mang. Put away that crutch.
