RPG Maker 2k3: Touhou - Misty Lake Part 1

1st part of my Misty Lake dungeon. Note that I only show the EASY path in this vid. The Hard Path will be for later for you guys to see when the game's done ^^


As you can tell, I purposedly made the skills matter more in this game than in most other RPGs (I'm looking at you Final Fantasy! .V. ). Granted, to make up for how much MP you'll be splashing around, I made buying the "Ethers" of the game (Bacchus Wine) much less expensive to get (50 Yen I think they cost?) when they originally were 1500 Yen (which the Dionysus' Wines were, but I think those are 500 now....). Lots of fights to showcase the current enemies. And yes, those Corals will have their EXP ratio reduced .V.

It was originally, back when this video was made and this was way back at the start of the rpg, a default 2k3 sprite.

There are a lot of random encounters...maybe tone it down a little.

Yeah, I toned it down from how it was from these videos a lot. These are rather old videos compared to what's in the beta release video ^^;

map design is good. I don't know much to say about the combat other than 2 things. Make the combat um how is the best way I can put this... make it feel "good" when you do an attack and keep combat fast paced like this. The other thing is can you make projectiles? if you can I'm sure you can make some pretty sweet stuff

What do you mean feel "good" exactly? Not sure on what you mean there.

As for projectiles, most of the specials ARE projectiles. I just haven't done the graphics for them yet (they'll probably be the last things left for me to do I think).
