The intake of excessive quantities of sugar (refined carbohydrates) can lead to many health disorders and diseases. Sugar, whether in the form of monosaccharides or disaccharides, stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin to metabolize carbohydrates. The greater the amount of sugar that is ingested, the more the pancreas must work to produce additional insulin. Over stimulation of the pancreas can wear out this vital gland and over time, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, and diabetes can result.
Symptoms of pancreatic stress can include fatigue, confusion, restlessness, dizziness, headaches, weakness, and adrenal exhaustion.
