@jonescalypso That's true. Pinky and the Brain are inseparable; they do need each other. I find it touching how Brain always misses Pinky deeply whenever they get separated, and how the only thing that gets Pinky down is being separated from Brain. Even though they're animated, you can see an amazing chemistry, and I think Rob and Maurice's friendship outside the studio really helped them bring on that chemistry.

@richardworthtucker "A Pinky and the Brain Halloween" and "The Pinky and the Brain Reunion Special", respectively. What's the clip at 0:22?

@ToonySwedegirl They really do have a sweet relationship. It's amazing that we can be touched by a friendship between animated lab mice. The characters are so well developed and acted that we just grow to love them like real people. Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche said that the relationship between PInky and the Brain is the centre of the show, and I agree fully.

This is beautiful. Thank you so much.

@88lines44women After the latter failed, the writers pretty much erased all proof that that ever happened by not releasing the episodes on video or DVD. The executives cancelled both Pinky and the Brain and the Animaniacs because they felt they were failures (they were attracting more adults than children as viewers, which was not what they intended to do). Don't worry; no one remembers the spinoff. Pinky and the Brain are iconic, and at least we remember them and their show as amazing.

@88lines44women The executives did that, not the writers. Jamie Kellner, the head of WB, is often accused of that. The writers were put under a lot of pressure to change the show, which is something they didn't want because it was already perfect as it was. However, the executives persisted, so Pinky and the Brain was cancelled, and Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain was made. The writers were very upset; they even voiced their concerns in the theme song.
