what talent in the ring. bearcat , brisco , roop and the late great bobby shane. wrestling fans never got to see the talents of bobby shane. only in a few parts of the country.but he was ready to become a household name when he died.

I used to love it when Bobby Shane would call Gordon Solie, "Flash" and blow cigar smoke at him. He was a character and played the heel well. When he died, he left a big void. I saw hime wrestle several times in Florida and it was always good.

My Mom is from Georgia. We'd go down in the summer. I'd watch Georgia Championship Wrestling. I saw Bobby Shane wrestle. When I read in a wrestling magazine that Shane was killed in a plane crash, the article also said that when it was announced in the Atlanta arena and people were asked to stand in silence, many would not and even laughed at the idea because he was a heel. In one way it's better now in that fans and wrestlers openly talk about the kayfabe. He was a great entertainer.

Bobby was still strapped in his seat , he drowned in the plane crash. It was Feb. 1975, I was a big fan of Shanes, I was 16 yrs. old at the time. Remember the news account on local TV. Bobby was cool, his interviews were great, too bad there are none around. He could really get under peoples skin.

I think Bobby Shane died in a plane crash. He was traveling with Gary Hart, Austin Idol and I think somebody else when the plane crashed, I think they never found Bobby's body.

I REMEMBER SEEING BOBBY SHANE IN GEORGIA.I SAW HIM @ BELL AUD IN AUGUSTA GA.HE WAS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.I WISH I COULD SEE MORE OF HIM WITH INTERVIEWS.THX 4 POSTING THIS YOU MADE MT DAY,YOU TRULY DID. THX AGAIN
