The Village CAB
The Village CAB is located in the city of Salford in the North West of England. The service is managed by a steering group of gay and lesbian volunteers while the day-to-day management is the responsibility of Salford Citizens Advice.
The Village developed from a demand for advice from gay men and lesbians in the North West of England and is delivered by volunteers from those communities.
Salford Citizens Advice
Salford Citizens Advice is independent and provides free, confidential, impartial and non-judgemental advice to everybody regardless of age, religion, race, gender, sexuality or disability. The service is the largest provider of advice in the city of Salford and its core work is delivered by fully-trained volunteers.
The Village CAB in partnership with Salford Citizens Advice were recently successful in securing funding from the Equality and Human Rights Commission. These films form part of that programme of work.
The law on discrimination is very complex and these films are not intended to be a definitive guide on your rights or the law. Instead these films are intended to be an introduction to your rights and a signpost to where you can go to get further advice and guidance. Remember, before taking action it is vital that you get up-to-date information and guidance from your local CAB, Law Centre or the EHRC.
