Government regulated agencies already have the "power" to turn your electricity off in a much easier way than installing energy-efficiency devices in each home. It's called "rolling black outs." So, in the end, we learn that F-M allowed their patent to lapse, probably because the product never really helped them promote loans for energy-efficient homes. All this paranoia wasted on a failed effort. Just another false alarm fabricated by the Department of Fear & Paranoia at Fox.

This man is a complete fear-monger....nothing said here is of any value whatsoever.
What a schmuck.

@565Customz If you think Beck is telling you the truth then you are misguided. Beck is just trying to create fear and to sell his own books.

And again Glenn Beck tries to muddy the waters about why a company could do something for an employee. We don't know when he did his "tinkering" and the plug cover could help keep your family member plugging in something and overlaoding the curcuit of which you computer might back plugged into. It doesn't even have to be in the same room and s surge protector wouldn't stop it from happening if it's not plugged into the same socket that caused the overlaod.

He appears to be actively dumbing down the people by using big policy terms and then petty details that make no sense. Cap and trade = plastic outlet plugs? Yes, he is using airtime and bandwidth to dumb down the populace and make people powerless.

What does this Beck fellow say about the TSA? And who does Beck say blew up WTC Bldg 7? These answers will tell you everything you need to know about this fellow Glenn Beck.

The hell did I just watch? Does this man have a TV show? It can't be popular.
Please read the section that goes, "Background of the invention" in the original patent application.
Then, google in "surge" to find out what a surge means. Google in "circuit breaker" to find out what that means. Google in "surge protector" to find out what that means. Then, you can decide for yourself Glenn's "maybe, maybe not" question.
When you watch shows like this, do a little research before ranting like the host encourages you to.
