I had a similar crash except I was doing around 50 on a fire road coming down Mt. Diablo out in California on a trail aptly named "The Speedway"where DH riders have actually hit close to 60mph. Luckily I was slowing down for the inevitable 90 degree turn and the fire road was hard packed baked clay with loose gravel on top. My skid was roughly 60ft long before I went down and I had no padding, ouch!!
