@QFacepalmQ I wouldn't acknowledge them to much, I can guaranty most of them play, or have played WoW, most serious gamer's do at some point in time. I assume they are people from the original Guild Wars who think they are better then others because of this. Making it clear only that they will just add to an immature population in Guild Wars 2. If not, they are most likely just pointless trolls.

On another note, GW2 Looks absolutely amazing! I think I'm done with WoW. Time for a real game.

@killcarmine For starters, it encourages and rewards cooperation. You don't compete against other players for mobs or loot. It doesn't come with a subscription fee. You can move between servers. It doesn't worship the holy trinity of classes.

That's a few reasons, there's more.

@eight216 mmo is massively multiplayer online so how is it a better version?

Thief = a better version of Wows rogue

Ranger = a better version of wows hunter

Guardian = a better pally

elementalist = a better mage

Necromancer = better warlock

Mesmer = wow old god 2.0?

Engineer = better version of a siege engine

gw2 = better version of mmo

@EnchantedMagna It will be your character, but it will have base stats. In these battlegrounds/arenas you can only use the same equipment as everybody else, so both teams are on even playing field, only skill matters. Think LoL if everybody had all the runes and lvl 30 from the get go.

i only watched a little bit of the movie. can any tell me if you have to choose standard characters for PVP or do you get to use your main character? it looks as if you have to pick a race and such and start off fresh. I'd rather if i can use the character that i use all the time, that I've worked on developing, not one that has base stats...
