BBC: Huge rally against Taiwan leader (Ma Ying-Jeou). 830嗆馬大遊行

Thousands of opposition supporters in Taiwan have taken part in a protest in Taipei as President Ma Ying-jeou marked his first 100 days in office.
It was the first mass rally against Mr Ma since his inauguration, and also comes amid increased worries over his pro-China policies and the economy.
The protesters said he was moving too quickly to improve ties with Beijing.
China claims Taiwan as part of its territory, although they have been governed separately since 1949.

This was the first large-scale protest against President Ma since he took office in May.

吾爾開希要自首-無能支共不敢收?

強行闖入駐日中國大使館遭日警逮捕的六四天安門事件學生民運領袖­吾爾開希今天被釋放，但仍不能離開東京，必須等候傳訊。

吾爾開希是在本月四日下午兩點多在東京的中國大使館前抗議，要求­「自首」返回中國，並企圖強行闖進大使館而被日本警察逮捕。

日警在三天的留置之後認為沒有逃亡或湮滅證據之虞，在今天下午兩­點多將他釋放，但因有需要再度傳訊而暫時不准他離境。

吾爾開希在獲釋放之後對媒體記者表示，他無論如何都想回中國探望­親人，「就算家人以探監的方式來看我都可以」。他說，四日他是「­想對中國『自首』」，希望中國逮捕他，想不到是被日本警察捉起來­。

@BAIYUE1 Taiwanese is a Chinese dialect, and it is not restricted to speak like it use to be in Taiwan. We are Han Chinese. Our mission should be help Mainland China embrace democracy, not independence. Cuz Taiwan is just like Hong Kong, will never escape the influence of whoever is in control on Mainland China.
