  • @amanfromaplace that's not true at all. The pride uses the same section every year no matter what number they have they keep that section. If there are lessmembers they just fill the spots. You worry over nothing, I'm sure there numbers will be better this year.

  • @RockyTopx Actually the band isnt getting smaller for that reason its for a lot of financial reasons on the students and students transferring this is actually one of the best times to audition for the band cuz they need players

  • "ever notice that the pride has gotten smaller and smaller over the past 3 years? They cut seats for the stadium renovations, and they cut the band's numbers so they can sell the seats they used to fill. And that's AFTER they doubled the ticket price. I want a BIGGER BAND!! The other SEC bands have passed them up! I'd like some feedback as to what other vol fans think about that. Because I WANT MORE PRIDE. "

Its all about quality, not quanity. :)

  • Actually, the UT Band at halftime is the same size it was when Dr. Julian was conduting: 192 winds. This number is mathematically determined, and is absolutely necessary to create Circle Drills, UT line drills, and the Tennesee Turn. Any questions, feel free to email me.

  • When was this video taken? Thanks for posting it!

  • Kickoff Zone recently announced their All-Time(75 year) SEC Team. Tennessee placed 6, more than any other SEC Team. 3 are on offense, and 3 are on defense:

    QB Peyton Manning-1994-1997

    OG Chip Kell-1968-1970

    WR Willie Gault-1979-1982

    DE Reggie White-1980-1983

    DT John Henderson-1999-2001

    LB Al Wilson-1995-1998

Do you all agree with these picks? Should any other former Vols have made it?

  • Thanks for this. I am British born and bred but became a Vol fan when I visited family in Tennessee. I've only been to one game but hope to go to more in the future

    Go Vols!!!

  • Y'all sound incredible. Do you still sell CD's in the stands? I would love to have a new one. I have one of the '96 Pride. I am bringing a buddy to the UK game. He has never been to a game before and I keep telling him the pregame show with the Vol Walk and the band marching in along with the opening of the T is as much fun as the game itself. Love ya mean it. Go Vols Roll the Tide.

  • I love the sound at this part. When you're in the band, you can't really hear the full force of it. Unless it's bouncing right back at you, like it is here. Nice video.
