  • I remember this on MTV when MTV was MTV, Now it just suxx

  • @rockymntskier Two of the founding members of Split Enz were Neil Finn (singing) and his older brother Tim Finn (on guitar with the big hair). After Split Enz broke up in 1984, they went on to form Crowded House, which also had a few major hits in the 1980s and 1990s, including "Don't Dream It's Over" "Something So Strong" and "Distant Sun." The band broke up, but is now together again, although I'm not sure how often they tour or record new material in the studio at this point.

  • THIS SONG IS THE SHIT THUMBS THE FUCK UP

  • I love the song but I have to point out at 3:02 the guitarist or bassist looks like he wants to rape and murder us.

  • Forgot about this track..Love it!!

  • love it i remember mum and dad taking us home from the speedway its was 1980 and the radio was playing i got you this was the number 1 song in new zealand i was 11 yrs.

  • Since there is an MTV discussion going on here I feel the need to say "Fuck MTV, they made music great and then fucked it over." It seems as if music videos started getting great when MTV was at its inception, now music sucks because MTV lost its way.

  • God I miss the old days of MTV and when music videos were entertaining like this.

  • Crowded house is my favorite band ever of all time, sometimes i need to listen to a song several times to like it, but this one i just liked instant!

  • Great music, great video. What happened to MTV? I agree. MTV sucks now. Remember when it was just music? And the VJ's? Martha Quinn, Nina Blackwood, Alan Jackson, and there were 2 other guys. I watched this 24/7 for a month back in 1981. Couldn't get enough. After seeing these great videos, I went out and bought the albums which I still have.

  • Superbly catchy chorus. Heard it on the radio and just had to listen again immediately. An 80's classic for sure.

  • @HanumanDas420

For me it was one of the top 5 songs that absolutely epitomized the year 1980, it sends me straight back as if it was only 2 years ago .. it's also one of those songs the makes you remember where you were exactly when one first heard it.

    So did others like

    Kate Bush - Babooshka ,

    Devo -Whip It

    Robert Palmer -Johnny & Mary

    Olivia NJ - Magic

    etc etc
