"There's no surprise that the Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W Power Supply performs very well. With 1200 watts it's clearly not intended for the budget market, but rather the hardcore gamer. Having a multiple video card setup, lots of other hardware, and overclocking requires a power supply of this wattage to keep everything stable. This product also has a quiet 140mm fan, lots of sleeved modular leads, and looks excellent. It is fairly long though, so it might not fit in some mid-tower cases and it's pricey, which is to be expected. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end." ~3dGameMan.com

  • I have the 775W version and it can't even handle my 4890 on my Q6600....

  • 1200 watts? Jeezus Christ.

  • You talk like a super hero.

    Love it!

  • @z34gtp9395

    xD

  • It can power 3 and more of those cards, because the new technology in those cards consume 4 times less power than the 4000 series.

Even for crosssfire it wil be fine even if you connect 3 cards.

  • i wouldn't recommend using two PSU if thats what you mean, just get a 650watt corsair PSU or something like that.

  • Can this power two 5870s cause it says it only has 3 six pin lead offs and two 5870s require 4 six pin adapters.

  • guess you could, but buying a 500-600w PSU and simply switching woulb be easier

  • yes it can work although if you turn on your pc you also need to turn on the psu outside the pc

you can let the psu on at all times i guess?!

  • hay guys i just bought a nvidia 9600 gso farcry 2 edition graphics card and it says that i need a recconmmended 500w supplementary power but my psu in my pc is max 360w i was wondering if i could but a thermaltake psu unit and house it out side my pc and use it as a power supply for my graphics card whould that work? all replys welcome thx
