Breathe Chapter 1

I opened my window and crawled into bed. I laid there and listened to the rain fall, cars driving by, picking up water as they went. It reminded me so much of him. He used to come over whenever it rained and we would walk to the park, anywhere. It was one of our MANY weird traditions. But now as I lie in my bed and remember him, it just makes me cry.

I groaned loudly as my phone rang. I grabbed my cell-phone off my nightstand and answered it.
*sniff* H-hello?
Are you still crying?!
What do you think Stace?!.... I cant live without him. I whispered the last part.
Its been a whole week and youre still not over him. I thought you moved faster than this.
We were going out for 2 years and you expect me t-
Stacey cut me off, Tonys an ass and you know it. He wouldnt have just dumped you out of the blue like this if he really cared about you.
*sign* But - She interrupted me, AGAIN!
But, but, but nothing. Im tired of your buts. Lets just forget about it and hove some fun tonight. Just you and me.
I sighed loudly into the phone.
Ill take that as a sure, come right over and take over my life.
I did not even say that. I objected.
And thanks for letting me use my emergency key to your house. I really appreciate it. Just be ready in a half hour.
Before I could say anything, she hung up. I groaned and swung my feet over the side of my bed. I jumped as soon as I heard my cat growl at me. I know, WEIRD! My cat always knows when something is wrong with me, same as my dog. Speaking of my dog, where is she?
Lo siento, Coco. I said while picking her up. Lets go find Sophie. She started squirming around in my arms and I dropped her. Luckily cats can land on their feet. As soon as she hit the floor she ran into my closet. I followed her and found her sitting next to a pile of clothes.
I already know my closet is a mess, you didnt have to show me.
Coco looked at the pile and meowed. I sighed and started picking up my clothes. Once I moved half of the clothes into my laundry basket, I could see the rest of them moving. I stepped back and moved the clothes over with my foot to discover a very big golden retriever.
Sophie, what are you doing in here? I asked while laughing. She stretched and moved deeper into my walk-in closet.
Wimp. She was always afraid of storms. I explained looking down at Coco as she stared in Sophies direction. I scooped up the rest of my clothes and put them in the basket. I looked at my watch. 6:45. I had 15 minutes left to get ready for the Queen Bee.
I see Im gonna have to drag you out. I spun around and saw Stacey in my doorway.
Im not even supposed to leave the house on school nights. I lied. My parents could care less. I just wished they cared more.
Then dont tell them youre leaving. Youll be in by 10:30 and still go to school tomorrow.
While she was saying this she was going through my closet, throwing stuff all around like a tornado.
Stacey, What are you-
Here. She said handing me a pair of jeans, a Metro Station tee-shirt, and purple converse.
Put these on and lets go.
Staaaaaace. I dont waaaant too. I whined.
Well too got damn bad. Now go! She ordered while turning me around and pushing me in the bathroom.
YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES! She yelled after I closed the door. I slowly got dressed and washed my face. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Stacey sitting on my bed going through my phone. I ran and jumped on my bed trying to grab my phone from her.
Stace give it back. I demanded.
I thought I told you to delete the pictures, not lock them all.
I was going to delete them before you called. I lied, grabbing at my phone again.
Its ok. Ill just delete-
NO! I yelled grabbing my phone from her.
Ill do it. I told her, looking at a picture of me and Tony in the park.
The longer you hold on to the past, the harder it will be to actually move on.
I closed my phone and said, Lets just go.
Finally! Stacy yelled while running out of my room like a 5 year old. This was going to be a loooong night.
