A chilling scene from the excellent Frontline documentary "The Tank Man." Nearly 20 years after the brutal government crackdown at Tiananmen Square, Beijing students haven't even seen the photos of the "Tank Man", or have any idea of what happened there.

My Gf is In China and they cannot watch these videos there they are censered,, they cannot access facebook,, lots of cencerships

@scattam The book by George Orwell. He wrote it mostly in 1948 about Stalinist Russia, but it was published in 1949. He simply reversed the last 2 numbers.

@mortalkonlaw I don't believe that. I'm sure from their looks that they had no idea. And it's sad. That man is a hero but they, the ones he could have died for, knew nothing of it. And the rare video of the man will, no SHOULD, forever shame China's past and one day everyone will know the story of the "Tank Man"

those student pretend to not recognized it, they would suffer horrible consequence if they express that in media.

These students are the cream of the crop and they have worked very hard to get a place in the university. The interviewer is really irresponsible to ask such a delicate question. Even the students know the answer, would they answer the question and jeopardize their future.
