@spiritfire there is a tutorial on how to do that. Basically its the sane principal but on the second pass u pull thru the last 3 all together and it will slowly decrease for u making it a half diamond and giving u a straight edge. If u email me, I can send you the video link. Kendrabogle@ymail.com

I don't care for the checkerboard look. I want to know how to do the math to make it look more like a patchwork quilt. I want larger squares. If I want 12 or 14 stitches across how do I do the math to adjust my beginning chains?

@tmbryant12308 I suggest you work one square to figure out the size you want and to get your stitch count. If your foundation is 25 chains and it takes 15 rows to make the square, you add them together for a total of 40. 40 will be your multiple for each square you want to work. Those numbers are just an example. I have not worked them to see if they will make a square. I hope this make sense.
