These are The Producers, featuring Lol Creme, Trevor Horn, Steve Lipson, Chris Braide and Ash Soan. Recorded at their recent appearance at the Jazz cafe in London. Apologies to Steve who is mostly hidden behind the speaker stack!!!. A brilliant performance that night, with some great new songs (a few of which I will upload), and some classic tracks from each of the members. Just Brilliant stuff from a bunch of guys with huge talent, plainly enjoying what they do!

  • This isn't The Producers!

  • if you read the other comments you will see that it was and now its not....if you follow!

  • guess thats why they have changed their name - I ought to edit the title of the piece!!! :)

  • This isn't the producers, sorry. :(

  • OK, here we go again - yes it is....really, it is - read the other comments. No its NOT the 80's band of that name but it IS the 2008 band of that name, now called US and signed to ZTT featuring some famous and talented producers like Trevor Horn and Steve Lipscombe (hence the previous name)....

  • This is superb - -can't wait to hear the finished album with all new original tracks, I believe it will be out very soon. great work Mikey - don't know why I never commented on it before.

    AW x

  • They were brilliant live and I hope that they will do some new gig's under their new name once the album is out. Let me know if you hear of anything!

  • @soomka1 A couple of years back somebody slagged off The Go! Team (a great band) all over the web for "stealing" the name from Olympia's Go Team (not so great). The unfortunate obsessive posted identical messages on countless sites. It's pretty ironic, given that sometime Go Team member Kurt Cobain used another band's name for his next project, Nirvana. Don't get to bent out of shape about it, there are a finite number of names you can give to bands.

  • 10cc?

  • NO U Idiots this is "Godly and Creme"

  • @trevor001 RE: The bass the guy in this clip is playing is a "G & L" it was Leo Fenders last company. They make extremely high end strats and evidently basses too. The headstock with the one lower machine head is the give away.

This video is a let down...The Producers of the eighties already were underrated and over worked..probably under paid as well for the talent and great stuff they used to play.

  • Yea not the Producers at least not the 80's band that sings She Sheila.

  • Don't you hate DBs who use a band name that has already been taken? Plus, this song sucked 30 + years ago, why trick us into hearing it again?

  • What model is trevor horn's bass ??? I scrutinized the whole DVD of the prince's trust concert he did, and at no moment I could see the name on the headstock! Even with slow motion, 4X zoom and frame by frame... Couldn't find out!

  • So in other words, what you're saying is, Trevor Horn and company took a name that had already been put into use by a band (one that had a reasonably high profile during the early MTV days, no less) rather than thinking of an original name.
