Simulating a nuke detonation at the epicentre. This bomb is fully self detonating and is capable of airbursting on it's own also, but i didn't capture this on film.
All playfields are customised to be extremely more detailed than what is default in oe-cake. Drain is on.
The nuke, igniter, and case are all custom materials. Unfortunately the case is indestructable, although a better one could probably be made.
This is all done in ultra slow motion. Each frame takes about 5-8 seconds to render. And i use a special method to capture and splice these frames together. It probably took around 3 hours for these 3 nukes to explode.
It could be alot better but again, i was just really doing a proof of concept type of thing which is why i only coloured the buildings on the 3rd test.
