You keep singing GF. You sound better then JP already!
I have to work on my singing although I play violin well and have a very good ear. I sing sometimes the third instead of the root or fifth, for instance. I have found it very helpful to practice with a tuner, checking my pitch while stopping the guitar.
Also keep in mind that John (many others too) sometimes tune to A=432. Like on "In Spite" for instance.
Dylan, Petty, Cash, Sinatra, Dement, aren't exactly sirens people!

Big JP fan, as well as Kris, Cash, etc., and immensely enjoyed listening to this as well as your other vids. You're outstanding and I hope you'll start posting more songs; especially Prine and Kristofferson stuff!!! I have actually never watched a full episode of friends. Despite that, I am aware of the smelly cat song. Maybe I'll do a parody about my adorable tabby Hale-Bopp :)
