  • In terms of lyrics, The Rutles are far superior to The Beatles. Musically, they are at least as good. If only there were more of these songs! Get off your high horse and let Neil create them Eric!

  • @rumwoldleigh Neil retired the Rutles and I think Eric had little to do with the music part of the band. The Neil song "Imitation Song" Is kind of a Ron Nasty track though and I have some out takes and unreleased tracks I have been planing on uploading.

  • I don't think this is really a parody of Come Together. Maybe a little of the same style, but not a full out parody.

  • @skunkboy72 It has similar drums of "Come together" and at1:19 is obviously the intro, and the end of the song is also obviously the same end. But i think this takes from the Bob Dylan song "gotta serve somebody"

  • @skunkboy72 All The Rutles stuff is a parody.

  • There's definetely some "Maybe I'm Amazed" in the piano here.

  • Not only is this an awesome song by itself, it's also the perfect John '69/early solo career song.

  • They have the sound down man .. youd almost think it was them ..

  • @SgtRuttersClubBand Nothing's to late. All you need is cash, after all.

  • I think it's mostly a parody of Double Fantasy.

  • I like how its a lesson about modern life - very clever lyrics-love it
