I wonder what it'd be like if the Scooby-Doo gang ever came across Count von Count? I know for sure Count von Count would be the "creepy suspect" that turns out to be real and innocent, but there would also be a fake monster that would be the criminal.
but that was the idea right? i mean when i was a kid i loved this kind of things because they were showed as good things rather being bad and such i mean life has both sides the creepy and softy, so teaching kids that the dark things were good too was a nice thing to do.
I couldn't agree with you more about the count being a lot scarier in 1972 than today! I saw this skit for the first time in 1974 when I was 3 years old. I was watching SS downstairs, while my mom was upstairs cleaning, paying bills etc and after seeing that video, I always feared of the count coming down the stairs in my house to scare me away! YIKES!
