just a tip on the first rig there mate, because you are using a snowman rig, it is a very light bait in the water, i notice you have the piece of silicone to hold the bait nearer the point of the hook, with snowmans, you dont need to do this, the rule is : if you have a light bait, have it coming off the hook near to the eye, this makes the eye light and the point heavy, if you have a heavy bait, have it coming off nearer the point, this makes the point heavy and gives better hook holds.

@Nextlevelcarpfishing yeah thanks mate, if i was using say a 12mm pop up on the to of the snowman then i wouldn't of put the tube on the hook. i was using a minipop (5mm) which was intended just as a visual thing, the bait- although very slightly lighter, was no where near neural buoyancy balanced, was still effective with this rig (as you saw!) but appreciate the advice mate
